Maytronics Dolphin Range Explained

Dolphin uses series names rather than a single ladder, which makes the range confusing at first glance. Here is what each series is actually for.

The series at a glance

Each Dolphin series targets a different job:

  • M-Series — flagship residential; the most capable coverage and features
  • S-Series — mainstream residential ladder from entry to premium
  • X-Series — value-focused residential range with wall-capable models higher up
  • DB-Series — simple, robust corded cleaning
  • Liberty — cordless, no cable to handle
  • Niya — compact entry cleaning
  • Skimmi — floating surface skimmer, used alongside a floor robot
  • Wave — commercial duty for lap, school and resort pools

How to choose within Dolphin

Start with pool length and whether you want walls and waterline cleaned. That narrows you to a series. Then move up or down the numbers inside that series based on filtration, cycle options and app control.

Skimmi is an add-on, not an alternative

The Skimmi units skim the surface. They pull leaves off the top before they sink, which reduces the load on your floor robot — but they do not replace one.

Frequently asked questions

Is the M-Series worth it over the S-Series?
On larger pools, usually yes — you are paying for navigation and filter capacity that matters when there is more surface to cover. On a small pool the difference is much less noticeable.
Do you service Dolphin robots?
Yes. See our Dolphin repair page for what we cover.
